The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is the main processing facility and centre of excellence for payment, reimbursement, remuneration and reconciliation for NHS Dental Practitioners, Pharmacists, NHS Pensions and other affiliated parties.

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is a unique Special Health Authority with over 2000 employees, an Arms Length Body of the Department of Health and Social Care, which provides a complex range of critical central services to DHSC, NHS organisations, NHS contractors, patients and the public. NHS Pensions centrally administers the NHS Pension Scheme on behalf of the Department of Health. This NHS Pension Scheme currently has over 1.4 million actively contributing members, 550,000 deferred members and pays pension benefits to 860,000 recipients every month.  

NHS Pensions Technology manages infrastructure, network services, service desk, end user computing and application maintenance and development functions provided via a multi supplier, multi contract operating model.

The organisation comprises of a number of functions including Service Desk, Service Management, Architecture and Lifecycle Assurance; and forms part of the broader NHSBSA Technology organisation.

This Service Desk Analyst role forms part of the Service Management function, and will be responsible for taking calls and handling the resulting incidents or Service Requests, using the incident management and request fulfilment processes, in line with Service Desk objectives and providing first line technical support for all NHS Pensions IT applications and services across sites, including infrastructure and end user computing services.

You will, within a multi-supplier environment; apply several ITIL Service Management processes and actively support the Pensions IT Service Desk Manager in ensuring that NHS Pensions IT delivers an effective, efficient service to the business.
