The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is the main processing facility and centre of excellence for payment, reimbursement, remuneration and reconciliation for NHS Dental Practitioners, Pharmacists, NHS Pensions and other affiliated parties.

ESR is the world class national integrated workforce solution for the NHS in England and Wales, and the Programme has undertaken a comprehensive programme of development with particularly focus on the employee user interface and the ESR Portal.

We are currently looking for an exceptional and enthusiastic individual to fill this critical user facing role within the NHS Electronic Staff Record team. The successful individual will act on behalf of NHS Development and Operations Team offering guidance on ESR functionality and best practice across the regions.

This is a challenging and demanding role that requires a highly motivated self-starter with the drive and experience to ensure that the Programme continues to deliver the best possible solution to our user organisations and to support them in maximising their use of ESR and therefore realisation of benefits, ensuring that we continue to build on the extensive solution improvements we have made with over 900,000 employees now using our Portal capabilities.

  • You are an ambitious and motivated individual with demonstrable ESR operational and implementation experience with particular focus on Portal, SSHR and Learning Management;
  • You are passionate about helping NHS organisations optimise their use of ESR ensuring that the maximum business benefits can be achieved;
  • You can demonstrate a strong strategic knowledge of workforce issues and agenda in the NHS and how ESR is central to supporting them.

The role will be an intrinsic part of the regional engagement team in the south and will work closely with the Senior Account Manager and other team members to ensure that ESR is successfully deployed and that all NHS organisations understand how ESR can support their workforce strategies.

Though home based, significant travel will be required, with potential for overnight stays, to support the allocated regions and to support the wider deployment across NHS organisations. The successful candidate will also be required to attend team meetings and workshops in Warwick or Sheffield to ensure regular collaboration with the wider Development and Operations Team.
