The NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Programme is part of Workforce Services within NHS Business Services Authority.
Over 1.1million NHS employees across England and Wales are accessing ESR via the portal, and the portlets give users direct access to important personal information including their online payslip, their absence, training compliance and much more.
We have a unique opportunity to join our regional teams working across the country. There are 8 roles available, 2 for the South of England, 2 for London, 2 for Midlands and East, and 2 for the North of England.
To join our team you should be:
An ambitious and motivated individual with demonstrable ESR operational and implementation experience with particular focus on Portal, SSHR and Learning Management.
Passionate about helping NHS organisations optimise their use of ESR ensuring that the maximum business benefits can be achieved.
Able to demonstrate strong project management and implementation skills.
Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of the broader ESR solution and its associated benefits.
Working as part of the regional team, responsible to the ESR Senior Account Manager for your allocated region, you will work alongside the ESR Account Managers and ESR Functional Advisors to provide hands on support and guidance to organisations in their implementation and roll-out of the full ESR solution. You will have a professional line of accountability to the Senior Development Advisor to ensure that up to date knowledge of ESR development and functionality is maintained.
As an Implementation Advisor your role will involve:
Working alongside organisations operational teams to mobilise ESR project to expand their ESR footprint, particularly within the Self-Service and OLM functionality.
Guide and support operational teams in all areas of ESR functionality to ensure ESR methodology and functionality is adopted in line with their project plans.
Provide advice on how organisations can engage their workforce and promote the ESR solution and its benefits to support embedment.
Support organisations in having robust project plans in place to outline how and when they intend to implement ESR functionality.
Taking an active role in regional special interest groups to ensure that organisations are briefed about new functionality and solution development.
Developing and sharing knowledge, ideas and information that further supports the regional activity to drive uptake of ESR functionality.
Participate in the development of project management resources and operational tools to aid organisations in mobilisation and delivery of ESR projects.
Excellent communication skills, energy and enthusiasm are also a prerequisite to joining a national programme team that is passionate about helping the NHS get the most from ESR.
The role will be home based but includes travel to cover the allocated region, and also to the ESR Programme offices in Sheffield and Warwick on a regular basis for meetings as necessary.
