The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is the main processing facility and centre of excellence for payment, reimbursement, remuneration and reconciliation for NHS Dental Practitioners, Pharmacists, NHS Pensions and other affiliated parties.

The NHS BSA Technology Solutions team develop, support and operate systems in support of NHS BSA operations. Business critical and internet deployed digital applications are provided to support NHS BSA business streams. These systems currently support 2,700 internal users and 4,000+ external users.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and experienced developers to join our Technology Services Application team delivering business solutions within an infrastructure that currently utilises an Oracle and Java based strategy for the majority of the operational platforms. We have a strong people strategy and believe in the investment and further development of our people.

We currently have 2 posts: a permanent contract and a 2-year fixed term contract.

The successful candidates will combine technical expertise with effective communication skills on a range of complex IT issues, a strong customer service ethos and complex problem solving ability and have a proven track record of delivering quality while being accountable for the design, development, testing, implementation, supporting and on-going improvement of systems and services allocated to them.
