The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is the main processing facility and centre of excellence for payment, reimbursement, remuneration and reconciliation for NHS Dental Practitioners, Pharmacists, NHS Pensions and other affiliated parties.

An experienced PMO Manager is required to work as a member of the Corporate Services Directorate, within the NHS Business Services Authority. You will play a vital role supporting the wider business areas to enable delivery of the complex portfolio of projects and change that contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Managing a team of PMO Leads and Analysts you will be responsible for the day to day administration and management of the PMO function; taking ownership of the business change process, removing blockers and identifying enablers to drive delivery.

Working closely with key stakeholders both across the organisation and externally you will be required to develop, maintain and drive delivery of the change roadmap, ensuring delivery is accelerated whilst demonstrating appropriate control and governance. This will require a broad understanding of the strategic direction of the organisation at both a corporate level and an operational level to ensure appropriate focus and challenge.

You will be responsible for analysing data and providing recommendations to Project Review and Portfolio Boards to enable effective decision making that will shape and prioritise the strategic direction of the portfolio and drive delivery.

You must be able to communicate confidently and challenge in a positive manner to support the business in delivering its legislative and strategic change adapting positively to changing business needs to support delivery of the portfolio. Modelling a ‘can-do’ and enthusiastic attitude is essential as is a constant focus on service excellence and quality.

Experience of working within a PMO/Portfolio Management role is essential with an excellent understanding and application of project management methodologies, techniques, governance and processes that will accelerate and ensure delivery.

You will be a flexible and committed team player with the ability to use your own initiative; you will be capable of delivering quality products within tight deadlines.
