The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is the main processing facility and centre of excellence for payment, reimbursement, remuneration and reconciliation for NHS Dental Practitioners, Pharmacists, NHS Pensions and other affiliated parties.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for three permanent Team Managers in Prescription Services. These roles will be working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday and based in Bridge House, Newcastle upon Tyne.
There will be the following positions available:
1 x Team Manager (Day Shift) – to cover the core dayshift hours of the office
2 x Team Manager (Evening Shift) – to cover core hours of 2pm – 10pm weekdays (Friday until 9pm). In addition there is a requirement to cover Saturday shifts 7am - 1pm on a rotational basis. (Unsocial Hours and Overtime are applicable)
In both roles there is a requirement to work flexibly covering both day and evening shifts. Additionally, your working hours will be determined by business needs. Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.

As a Team Manager you will have the skills to provide leadership and motivation to inspire individual commitment, personal contribution and self-management.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. The ability to engage with colleagues is essential. You will be responsible for managing our business as usual activities, achieving business objectives and pro-actively identifying and implementing more efficient and effective methods of working. You will also be responsible for contributing to expanding our scope and introducing new business activities into the Service. You will identify and implement improvement opportunities, and drive efficiencies, aiming to improve customer service, service delivery and costs. The ability to see the wider implications of decision making and understand consequences is important.
You must have experience of performance management in a business that is transforming and have experiencing of supporting colleagues through the change process. The ability to work collaboratively is important as you will be required to work closely with Service Delivery Managers, Team Managers and colleagues, locally as well as nationally.
