We’re the NHS Business Services Authority. We provide critical central services to NHS organisations, NHS contractors, patients and the public. Have you had a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)? Perhaps you’ve had an Exemption Certificate or have a Pre-payment Certificate to spread the cost of your prescriptions? We issue those. Maybe you’re a member of the NHS Pension Scheme? We administer the scheme on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care. Ever applied for a vacancy on NHS Jobs? That’s one of our services too.
We’re doing exciting things in a complex and challenging landscape so come and join us.
Come and work for us and you’ll receive a benefits package that rewards your hard work and commitment, including a minimum of 27 days annual leave per year which increases with length of service plus Bank Holidays and the option to purchase additional leave, time off for volunteering, flexible working options, a generous Pension Scheme, access to loads of online and high street discounts including holidays, computers, insurance, mobile phones and meals out, and perhaps most importantly – a work/life balance.
Home based with extensive travel across the allocated region and to the NHS ESR Programme locations in Sheffield and Warwick
The NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Programme is part of Workforce Services within NHS Business Services Authority.
The ESR team is now looking for a key individual to coordinate all of the regional ESR implementation, communications and engagement activity across London.
This is an exciting time to join the NHS ESR team, in a role with significant strategic influence, with an increased focus on supporting NHS organisations to maximise their use of the Electronic Staff Record solution to support the workforce goals set out within the NHS People Plan, and streamline HR processes to achieve a wide range of productivity and efficiency benefits.
The Communications and Engagement team plays a key role in promoting the capabilities of the ESR solution at a regional level. This includes influencing senior stakeholders as part of our strategy to support NHS organisations and employees to take ownership of, and realise the benefits of the ESR solution.
If you are the ambitious, highly focussed and delivery orientated individual that we are looking for, you will join an established team of Senior Account Managers and lead all aspects of ESR implementation, communications and engagement activities across London. You will be responsible for identifying and delivering key objectives, managing a team of Functional Account Managers and Implementation Advisors and coordinating activities across the London region.
The ideal candidate must have a strong engagement background and demonstrate an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with our key strategic regional stakeholders; influencing Directors, Executives and senior leaders in the NHS, ensuring that the reputation of ESR as the Workforce Solution for the NHS remains strong. You will work within the allocated region; developing a regional framework that will enable you and your team to deliver against growth targets that will lead to increased ESR usage, and work with senior stakeholders to embed ESR into workforce strategy across the broader Health and Social Care landscape; developing and managing sustainable regional relationships and networks is key to this role.
The successful candidate, ideally from a health background, will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the ESR solution and a comprehensive understanding of the changing Health and Social Care landscape and have experience, and/or an excellent understanding of NHS Workforce management and strategic direction. This is key to enabling the ESR team to execute our strategy going forward. Excellent communication and engagement skills, project management experience, energy and enthusiasm are also key attributes to joining a national team that is passionate about helping the NHS get the most from Workforce solutions.
The post holder is required to travel to support the allocated areas and team members and attend regular meetings with the wider ESR team in both our Sheffield and Warwick offices (subject to current NHSBSA’s coronavirus guidance).
Interviews will be held in week commencing 9 November 2020 online.
